My '87 only has 9600 miles on it now and when I bought it 4 yrs ago it only had 5000. With the winters we had when I lived in WV there wasn't much of a riding season so I was lucky to get 500 miles on it each summer. Now living in southeast GA I get to put more like 1500 to 2000 a year on it. So I can see someone putting even less on a SAvage or any bike for that matter. Just depends on your riding style.
